The Connacht Tribune newspaper is to acquire the remaining interest in Galway Bay FM, increasing its shareholding from 27% to 100%.

The Connacht Tribune has been a shareholder in Western Community Broadcasting Services Ltd, the company which runs Galway Bay FM, since its inception.

The Connacht Tribune, with a current readership of 130,000, was established in 1909. The company also publishes the Connacht Sentinel and the Galway City Tribune.
