ISEQ rises slightly

The ISEQ rose 4.15 points to 7832.83 today.

Elan was the biggest gainer, up 25c (1.2%) to €11.90. The pharmaceutical submitted copies of its 2005 annual report to the Dublin and London stock exchanges today.

Kingspan was up 20c (1.5%) at €13.15, while CRH gained 4c to €28.34.

Allied Irish Bank slipped 10c to €18.60. Irish Life and Permanent gained 9c to €19.64.

Bank of Ireland and Anglo Irish Bank closed at €14.59 and €13.08 respectively. Bank of Ireland was the day’s busiest share.

Ryanair fell 5c to €6.98. The airline has had its route from Rome (Ciampano) to Alghero banned by ENAC. It also announced today that it had carried its 140 millionth passenger.

Eircom was unchanged at €2.16.
