Ryanair slams 'anti-competitive' Rome route ban
Ryanair has accused aviation agency ENAC of "anti-competitive favouritism towards Italian carriers" after the body banned the airline from operating flights on the its Rome (Ciampino) - Alghero route after May 1.
Ryanair has complained to the European Commission on the issue and has said the operation of some commercially viable routes is "being granted exclusively to selected Italian carriers in order to funnel more state aid to these airlines".
