Financial stocks buoy ISEQ
Financial stocks were in the black today as the ISEQ index of shares posted early gains of 18.53 points to stand at 7839.18.
AIB and Anglo Irish led the charge, both gaining 19c to €18.74 and €13.20 respectively.
Bank of Ireland was up 15c to €14.83, while Irish Life & Permanent gained 5c to €19.80.
Meanwhile, Dublin based e-learning courseware and testing provider ThirdForce shares shed 2c to 27c as it announced a drop in operating profits from €1.3m in 2004 to €669,000 in 2005.
The most traded stocks on the ISEQ this morning were CRH, Anglo Irish, AIB, Bank of Ireland and Irish Life & Permanent.
