Figures reveal big increase in low-fare airline flights

Low-fare airline flights have more than doubled worldwide in just five years, it was revealed today.

Budget airlines will operate more than 300,000 flights this month, compared with 142,000 in April 2001, figures from travel information company OAG showed.
