BBC staff to vote on strike action

Hundreds of BBC workers in the UK are to be balloted for industrial action in protest at their jobs being outsourced to a private firm, it was announced today.

Bectu said its members working in the corporation’s human resources department had rejected the terms of being transferred to Capita from midnight tonight.
