Computer companies PFH and CK announce merger

Computer companies PFH and CK Business Electronics have announced their merger.

The combined group - to be known as the PFH Technology Group - will have a turnover in excess of €36m and employ more than 140 people in locations in Dublin, Galway and Cork.

"Convergence of data and voice technologies and the commoditisation of products and services are twin drivers putting tremendous pressure on the ICT industry," said new group MD Paul Hourican

"Our response has been to search for greater scale and to develop new business models for growth. The merger of PFH and CK provides immediate scale."

PFH has bases in Cork and Dublin, while CK Business Electronics is in Galway and Dublin.
