Uk: Co-op takes major stake at funeral firm

The Co-operative Group expanded its funeralcare operations today after securing majority control of the UK’s fourth-largest player.

The deal for Fairways will see the Co-op own 86% of the business, with the rest retained by the management team of the Surbiton-based firm.
