Morning in black for ISEQ
The ISEQ is having a positive morning's trade today, up 37.78 points on opening to 7953.72.
Financial companies were among the morning's most traded stocks. Bank of Ireland, AIB and Irish Life and Permanent all saw brisk trade.
Bank of Ireland saw an 11c rise to €15.15, while AIB rose 6c to €19.73. Irish Life and Permanent saw a 25c surge to €18.60. Anglo Irish Bank rose 12c to €13.94.
Business support services company DCC reversed the positive trend, down 20c to €19.10.
Elan saw a 40c hike to €11.20. The pharmaceutical company said today that two-year results from the two phase three clinical trials evaluating multiple sclerosis Tysabri were published for the first time in this week's issue of The New England Journal of Medicine.
