Mobile phone giant Vodafone warned today that its assets were overvalued by as much as £28 billion and its revenues growth was likely to slow.

Vodafone announced it was taking a hit of between £23bn (€33.7bn) and £28bn (€41bn) on the value of its operations in Germany, Italy and possibly Japan.
