Standard Life selects Dublin for subsidiary HQ
Standard Life has selected Dublin as the headquarters for a new international subsidiary, which will create up to 30 jobs in the next three years.
The new company, Standard Life International Limited, represents an investment by its parent Standard Life of about €30m.
The business will initially focus on sales of investment bonds into the UK private client and small corporate business markets.
"We chose Dublin because of the strong regulatory environment combined with the availability of a highly-skilled workforce," said Standard Life International boss Murray Drummond.
"The presence of our existing operation in Dublin was a significant factor in the decision."
Standard Life International will be located at the company's existing Irish headquarters in St Stephen's Green.
