Ryanair secures injunction against Rome diversions
Ryanair has secured a court injunction in Italy preventing the authorities at Rome's Ciampino Airport from diverting certain flights to another facility.
Seven Ryanair flights based at Ciampino have been affected by the airport's newly imposed policy of diverting flights to Fiumicino between midnight and 6am.
The Irish airline says 1,000 passengers have been forced to land in Fiumicino when their relatives and onward transport were waiting for them at Ciampino.
It also says another 1,000 passengers have had to endure delays while planes forced to divert to Fiumicino were brought back to Ciampino the following morning.
