Software giant to set up in Belfast
Invest Northern Ireland have announced that software firm, SAP AG, is to set up a research centre in Belfast.
Supported by Invest NI, SAP is investing ā¬2.2m to carry out research in grid computing at the centre.
Grid computing is the linking of computers, data and application software to provide computing power that far exceeds what is available on a single PC.
SAP is the worldās leading provider of business software solutions.
SAP employs 30,000 people in more than 50 countries and has a turnover of over $7bn (ā¬5.85bn).
