EasyJet entrepreneur unveils pizza delivery plan
Budget air travel entrepreneur Stelios Haji-Ioannou will today unveil his plans to revolutionise the pizza home delivery market in Britain.
The businessman behind easyJet will be launching his new venture which promises quality pizzas delivered in his trademark no frills low cost style.
The first franchise of easyPizza.com is to be set up in Segensworth East, between Portsmouth and Southampton, by 27-year-old James Kendall.
Using the easyGroup’s Yield Management System, the pizzas will be priced differently during peak and off-peak times in order to attract custom when demand is normally low.
A spokeswoman said: “Stelios has re-engineered the pizza delivery model to produce a no frill, low cost delivery business.
“Anyone can produce cheap pizza, but here, quality of product and service standards have not been compromised.
“The easypizza.com franchise is attractive because it shows the relentless innovation found in all other businesses within the easy group.
“It is well priced, it is easy to operate, it offers a centralised kitchen and one national phone number and web address, wherever the delivery might be made.”
The easyPizza chain intends to set up 9,000 franchises across the UK, the spokeswoman added.
