Teenage music magazine Smash Hits is to close after almost 30 years, it was reported today.
At its height the magazine was essential reading for young fans obsessed with pop, but Smash Hits has seen its circulation decline from a peak of one million in 1989, when Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan graced the cover, to 120,000.
