The Irish manufacturing sector maintained solid growth of output and new business in January, according to the NCB Purchasing Managers’ Index.

Data from the January NCB survey indicated a continued solid improvement of business conditions in Irish manufacturing. The seasonally-adjusted NCB Purchasing Managers’ Index – an indicator designed to provide a measure of the economic health of the manufacturing industry – posted a level above the critical 50.0 mark for the 29th consecutive month.
