A new survey has ranked Ireland as the third-most expensive EU country in which to buy a basket of groceries.

A new survey has ranked Ireland as the third-most expensive EU country in which to buy a basket of groceries.

The survey by the international research firm AC Nielsen found that Irish grocery prices were 15% higher than the EU average.

Germany was found to be the cheapest country, with prices there around 15% below the EU average.
