Knock airport records 42% growth

Knock Airport recorded its most successful year ever in 2005 with passenger numbers reaching over 530,00, an increase of 42% on the previous year’s figures.

The independent airport’s scheduled routes business increased by 34% as a result of a number of new daily services, while the holiday charter business was in excess of 55,000 passengers.

In 2005, a total of 45 daily scheduled flights each week, connecting to 574 world wide destinations, were operated by airlines bmibaby, easyJet, Ryanair, and British Airways franchise Loganair.
