Ringtones specialist MonsterMob today announced the takeover of a leading Chinese mobile games developer for up to $35m (€29m).

Ringtones specialist MonsterMob today announced the takeover of a leading Chinese mobile games developer for up to $35m (€29m).

The Lancaster-based company said it would offer M Dream’s intellectual property library of some 250 game titles in its other locations as it is the first content production house the company has acquired.

MonsterMob has expanded rapidly since its launch in the UK and United States in 2004. It now operates in 25 countries and has 13 million monthly subscribers downloading its mobile ringtones and news products.
