Rise in number of disqualified company chiefs

Up to 21 company bosses have been disqualified as a direct result of legal proceedings taken by the State's Industry Watchdog, according to the Director of Corporate Enforcement end-of-year statement for 2005.

This represents a major jump compared to the 2004 when only three individuals were disqualified.
