Sharp rise in work-related deaths in 2005

Figures released today by the Health and Safety Authority have revealed that there was an increase of over 40% in work-related deaths in 2005.

The report also showed that the construction industry remains the most dangerous sector in which to work with 23 deaths in that sector during the year.
