Bertie Ahern to lead trade delegation to India

An Taoiseach is to lead the largest-ever Irish trade delegation to India next month.

He will be accompanied by five other cabinet ministers, including the Ministers for Education, Enterprise and Arts and Culture.

The visit is part of the Government’s “Asia Strategy” to open up new markets in information technology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and tourism.

Bertie Ahern said the trip is an “exploratory visit…to deepen and strengthen the political and economic relations between the two countries.”
