Regulator issues warning about US financial services firm

The Financial Regulator has issued a warning about a US financial services firm that has been operating illegally in Ireland.

The regulator said Woods and Sheldon had been offering investment advice and services to Irish customers without legal authorisation.

It is a criminal offence to offer such advice without authorisation, but the regulator did not say if any action would be taken against the American company.
