Trade unions have expressed fears for the future of 70 jobs at one of the North's best-known textile firms.

Amicus said it believed Ulster Weavers was planning to shut its factory in Dungannon, Co Tyrone, with the loss of 60 jobs.

It also said it feared the company may lay off a further 10 staff at its headquarters in Banbridge, Co Down.

Ulster Weavers also shed around 80 jobs in February of this year after closing its other two operations in Armagh and Castlewellan.
