HP man joins BT as head of IT networking

BT Ireland has announced the appointment of Tom Carson as managing director of its Networked IT Services.

Tom joins the company from HP, where he held the position of director of the Technology Solutions Group.

Mr Carson has held senior management positions with Digital, Compaq and HP, and is an electronic engineering graduate from DIT. He holds an MBA from the UCD Smurfit School of Business and is member of Dublin Chamber of Commerce.

He takes up his position with BT Ireland on February 1, 2006.
