PartyGaming boosted by new games

Online gaming giant PartyGaming today said annual results were likely to beat expectations after the launch of new games such as blackjack boosted the business.

The owner of PartyPoker.com said in an update for the two months to November 30 that its casino business experienced a “marked uplift” after the introduction of blackjack in October.

Around 40% of PartyPoker’s regular players were now playing both blackjack and poker, leading to a substantial increase in revenues.

Due to the strength in current trading, revenues and underlying earnings before the cost of its flotation were likely to be ahead of consensus market forecasts.
