Budget good for economy, say Goodbody

Budget 2006 will have a moderate expansionary effect on the economy next year, according to stockbrooking firm Goodbody.

With indirect taxes left unchanged, Goodbody has left its inflation forecast for 2006 at 2.5%, and believe that this will help to keep down wage demands when the next social partnership agreement is discussed.
