Business leaders disturbed by spending increases

Business leaders criticised Minister for Finance Brian Cowen for the poor targeting of the increased spending announced in his second budget.

Director General Turlough O’Sullivan said an increase in public expenditure of this size is only justifiable if it ensures something of lasting value.
