ISEQ makes modest gains

The ISEQ index of shares made modest gains this morning, adding 2.13 points to stand at 7068.4.

There were mixed fortunes for the financials. Irish Life & Permanent was up 8c to €16.28 in early trading, while Anglo Irish was up 3c to €11.88.

AIB and Bank of Ireland were both down however, losing 11c and 5c to stand at €18.29 and €13.61 respectively.

Meanwhile, Jurys Doyle Hotel got off to a bright start, adding 35c to €18.90.
