UK govt in BT contract pledge to jobless, pensioners
The British government’s biggest department today pledged to improve services to the unemployed, pensioners and those claiming benefits under an £850m (€1.25bn) contract with telecoms giant BT to improve communications.
The Department for Work and Pensions said the deal will provide a modernised communications network to enable its service to be more reliable and better performing.
