CSO reports slight increase in Live Register figures

The Central Statistics Office has reported a slight increase in the number of people signing on the Live Register.

The CSO said 157,700 people were on the register in November, an increase of 1,100 on the figure for the previous month.

It said an extra 1,200 women were signing on last month, but the number of men on the register actually fell by 100.
