ISEQ dragged down by DCC, financials
The ISEQ slipped 22.79 points at 6871.27 today as many of the index’s main players posted losses.
Eircom, however, had a good day, up 5c (2.6%) at €1.96.
Business support services company DCC closed down 40c (2.5%) at €15.50, despite winning a court case in Taiwan today.
Bank of Ireland saw the heaviest trading today, and closed down 13c at €13.02. Allied Irish Bank slipped 11c to €18.09.
Anglo Irish Bank closed down 5c at €11.72, while Irish Life and Permanent finished the day unchanged at €15.45.
Irish Continental closed down 4c at €9.76. Subsidiary Irish Ferries removed controversial security staff from its ships today.
Food and drink group C&C was down 4c at €5.09, following today’s announcement of its new international distributors to replace Allied Domecq when the companies’ agreement runs out next year.
