Leading economist backs call for all-Ireland economy
A leading economist in the North has backed calls for the development of an all-Ireland economy.
Stephen Kingon, who is a member of the board of Invest NI, made the comments at a meeting of the British-Irish Inter-Parliamentary Body in Edinburgh today.
He said increased co-operation between the North and the Republic would be of benefit to both economies.
Two weeks ago, Northern Secretary Peter Hain attracted the ire of unionists when he also backed the idea of an all-island economy.
