Consumers warned on car finance

The Financial Regulator today warned consumers to be aware of the terms and conditions of any car finance agreement and to fully understand the type of finance they are buying.

Consumer director, Mary O'Dea said: "At this time of year, many people are thinking about buying cars in the New Year or may be ordering new cars. Often, if you are buying a car from a garage you will be offered finance."
