The Government could reportedly be forced to accept so-called "super trucks" on Irish roads as a result of a European Court of Justice ruling.

Reports this morning said the court last week ordered the Austrian authorities to abolish a ban on lorries weighing more than 7.5 tonnes which has been imposed on a motorway in the Tyrol region.
