DUP seeks Hain’s resignation over all-Ireland remarks
The Democratic Unionist Party has called on Northern Secretary Peter Hain to resign after expressing support for an all-Ireland economy.
Mr Hain recently told the Irish Echo newspaper in New York that the island of Ireland should be marketed as a single economic entity.
He also said the North's economy was not sustainable on its own in the long term.
DUP Assemblyman George Dawson has described the remarks as "disgraceful, insulting, inaccurate and unjustifiable" and is calling on Mr Hain to resign.
