British and South Korean trade talks
Britain's Prince Andrew discussed economic co-operation with South Korea at a meeting with President Roh Moo-hyun today, Roh’s office said.
Andrew arrived yesterday for a four-day trip in his capacity as Britain’s special representative for international trade and investment.
“President Roh Moo-hyun and the Duke of York agreed that expanding co-operation not only in the manufacturing industry, but also in high-tech industries and service sectors is important in enlarging the two countries’ substantial co-operation,” the presidential office said.
The prince will meet South Korea’s information and communications minister, Seoul’s mayor and business leaders during the remainder of his stay.
Andrew visited South Korea once before in April 2004.
