Financials fall on ISEQ
The ISEQ index of Irish shares was down 95.33 points to 6453.53 by the end of the day.
Elan who reported a loss of of over $67m (€55.3m) for the first nine months of 2005 fell 11c to €6.80.
This is a decrease of 35% on the $187m (€154.2m) loss for the same period last year.
All the financials fell on today's stock exchange.
Anglo Irish Bank fell 19c €10.88, Bank of Ireland slumped 18c to €12.64, AIB was down 12c to €17.00 and Irish Life and Permanent fell 11c to €14.24.
Construction companies also had a bad day. CRH fell 35c to €20.55, Kingspan plumeted 30c to 9.55, Grafton fell 16c to €8.03 and McInerney Holdings 12c €8.45.
Donegal Creamer recored one of the days only increases, rising 14c to €4.48.
