Aviva pledges growth for RAC

Norwich Union insurer Aviva today pledged to add 1.4 million customers to its recently-acquired RAC motoring business over the next three years.

The target emerged as Aviva set out its hopes for the business, which it acquired for £1.1bn (€1.6bn) in a “transformational” deal in March.

Aviva said it was looking for 800,000 additional members of the RAC Rescue business, taking the total to three million by the end of 2008, while increasing RAC Insurance numbers by 600,000 to 900,000 over the same period.
