€100m paid out to civil servants
A new report has revealed that civil servants claimed a total of €100m in expenses and over-time last year.
According to the study, the Irish exchequer is paying out €53m in travel expenses and €45m in over-time to civil servants.
This translates into 3, 500 euro for every civil servant in Ireland.
The Department of Agriculture claimed the vast share of the €100m with €22m paid out to employees.
Workers for the Revenue Commission took home €14m between over-time and expenses.
