Deloitte and Touche making €1m-a-month from HSE contract
The consultancy firm Deloitte and Touche has reportedly been earning around €1m-a-month to work on the two computer systems suspended by the Health Service Executive last week.
The Health Service Executive suspended the introduction of the PPARS and FISP systems last week pending a review of its quality and value for money.
The two projects have already cost €146m and have been used by the opposition to criticise the Government's alleged wastefulness.
Reports this morning said Deloitte and Touche had received €60m for working on the two systems since 1999, but the HSE was now moving to terminate its contract with the company.
