ISEQ up 41 points
The ISEQ index of Irish shares is trading up 41.56 points to 6822.63 today.
In the financials, Bank of Ireland and Anglo Irish Bank were up 6c apiece. Anglo Irish Bank is trading at €11.41, while Bank of Ireland is at €13.09.
AIB is trading up 5c at €17.73. Irish Life and Permanent rose 10c today to €15.10.
Budget airline Ryanair is up 8c to €6.78. Company boss Michael O'Leary made the news today when he claimed the aviation regulator's decision to increase landing charges at Dublin Airport by 20% was totally unjustified.
He said the Dublin Airport Authority was already mismanaging the existing terminal at Dublin Airport.
Meanwhile, exploration company Ovoca Resources was down 2c to 10c today. Chairman Roger Turner has today outlined the rationale for an investment in Russia earlier this year at the firm's AGM in Dublin.
