Steady morning on ISEQ

The ISEQ gained 14.58 points this morning to stand at 6798.58 at 11.15am.

Exploration company Providence Resources recorded no change today despite the announcement of an operating profit of 135% for the first six months of this year.

Iona Technologies, who are also listed on the Nasdaq, recorded on of the biggest increases on today's ISEQ rising 23c to €2.50, more than 10%.

McInerney Holdings fell 10c to €8.30. Yesterday the company announced a decrease in profits for the first six months of this year.

Bank of Ireland rose 3c to €13.18. Today the bank announced that reported a sharp decline in the number of its customers who intend to spend all of the money in their Special Savings Incentive Accounts.

AIB rose 1c to €17.75 and Anglo Irish Bank rose 5c to €11.40. Irish Life and Permanent recorded no change.
