Rail strikes in UK called off

A series of strikes planned by train drivers on First Great Western was called off today after agreement was reached in a dispute over hours.

Members of Aslef were due to stage three 24-hour strikes on October 3, 11, and 19 as part of a campaign for a four-day working week.
