House prices are growing at their slowest rate in nine years, according to figures published today by Permanent-TSB.

House prices are growing at their slowest rate in nine years, according to figures published today by Permanent-TSB.

The company said prices had increased by 4.4% in the first eight months of this year, compared to 6.8% in the same period last year.

It said the average price of a house last month was more than €352,000 in Dublin and just under €230,000 outside the capital.
