The International Energy Agency has emergency procedures to release energy stocks if Hurricane Rita disrupts oil supplies from the Gulf of Mexico, IEA director Claude Mandil said today.

'If any supply disruption occurs, I am sure we can take again a very speedy decision to release oil from emergency reserves', Mandil said in Paris today.
