Powergen owner considers Scottish Power takeover

The owner of the Powergen brand in the UK confirmed today that it was weighing up a takeover bid for Scottish Power.

German utility E.On said it was “considering its options” after revealing its interest in the wake of a 4% rise in the share price of Scottish Power today.
