INOU calls for Govt action on manufacturing employment
The INOU today called on the Government to address the long-term future of manufacturing here.
The Irish National Organistion of the Unemployed (INOU) is concerned that if the downward pressure continues we could end up with little or no manufacturing base.
The August Live Register figures showed the highest unadjusted figures in 12 months according to spokesperson Eric Conroy.
He said this didn’t factor in the latest latest job losses in Donegal and has urged the Government to set up a task force in the county to tackle the problem.
