Rentokil shares fall on takeover update

Shares in Rentokil Initial cooled today after it emerged former Granada boss Gerry Robinson was not yet ready to put forward a takeover proposal.

The update from Rentokil came at the end of a week in which Sir Gerry confirmed his buy-out vehicle Raphoe Management intended to approach the board about a deal for the pest control-to-washroom services company.
