Perisimmon optimistic after profits record

UK Housebuilder Persimmon sounded a positive note about future prospects today as it unveiled a 7% rise in first half profits to a record £235m (€345m).

Persimmon said it was well-placed for the full year with sales of £980m (€1.4bn) already booked for its second half – similar to last year’s level.
